Consul General Mustafa Kemalettin Eruygur was born in Isparta in 1966. He graduatedfrom the Marmara University Law Faculty in 1988, and completed his Master’s degree on Strategic Studies, at the School of Government, Victoria University of Wellington in 2009.

Consul General Eruygur joined the Foreign Service in December 1989. Since then at the headquarters, he served at the Culture, Multilateral Economic Affairs, Research, Europe, Bilateral Economic Affairs and Africa departments with various titles. Most recently he was Head of Department at the Deputy Directorate General for West Africa between 2022-2024.

He has been posted to the Turkish missions in Malaysia, Romania, New Zealand, UNESCO with various titles and as Consul General to Antwerpen, Belgium. Most recently he was posted to the Turkish Embassy in Cairo as Minister Counsellor, Chargé d’Affaires between 2017 and 2022.

Consul General Eruygur, has assumed his duty as the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Mumbai as of 25 October 2024.

He is married with two sons.
